Josh Stern Named to PVAC 2nd Team

Congrats to our captain Josh Stern on being named to the PVAC All Conference 2nd Team.

Josh will be competing in the PVAC All Star game next Tuesday, March 4th at JDS at 7pm.

Cougars Season Ends, Fall at JDS 50-40

We gave it our best, but it wasn't quite enough as we fell to JDS for a 3rd time this year in the PVAC Quarterfinals 50-40.

It was just a three point game at halftime, and our defense was solid all night, but we couldn't solve the Lions defense in the second half.

Playoffs Are Here!

Our Quarterfinal Game vs JDS will be Tuesday night at 6:30 at JDS.

We'll practice Sunday at 7:45.

Game vs WIS cancelled

Due to the impending snowstorm, school is closed on Thursday, so our game as been postponed (essentially cancelled).

No decision yet on how we will honor our seniors, but we will.

Playoff Scenarios - Wednesday, Feb 12

If Sandy Spring loses at JDS tonight, and we are snowed out tomorrow, we will be tied with 5 wins.

Here are the tie-breaker procedures:

If two or more teams are tied for any slot, the relative positions will be determined by head-to-head records among all tied teams. The tie-breakers are as follows: Record against teams seeded ahead of you, coin toss. If teams are still tied for the last tournament seed, then there will be a play in game between those teams, instead of a coin toss.

 

Since we split with SS this season, and we both would have 1 win against teams ahead of us in the standings, we would have to play a play-in game to determine the 8th spot.

If SS beats JDS tonight, and our game is snowed out, we will be out of the playoffs.

So - we have to root for JDS tonight, or for the snow to miss us completely tonight!

We'll post an update once we know more.

Cougars Push for Playoffs, Down Field 70-57

BHA goes to 5-15 (5-14 in PVAC) with the win. We were able to get a measure of revenge on Field, who beat us last week.

Josh Stern had 25 points, Jonah Pinchot 19 and Jacob Mellman 11 as the Cougars try to push our way into the PVAC playoffs.

Cougars Fall at Home to Sandy Spring 63-57

BHA falls to 4-15 (4-14 in PVAC) with the loss.

Josh Stern had 30 points, but it wasn't enough.

We continue our push to make the playoffs when we host Field tomorrow night and try to avenge last week's loss.

BHA falls at Edmund Burke 58-55

Josh Stern had 27, but we weren't able to hold a 4th quarter lead, and lost our 4th in a row, dropping us to 4-14 overall, 4-13 in the PVAC.

Happy birthday to senior Yosef Frances!

Cougars' Comeback Falls Short, Lose to St. Anselm's 76-64

After going down by 25 early, we were able to cut it to 5 in the final minutes before eventually losing by 12. Josh Stern led us with 22 points and Iky Cohen had 14.

We will try to improve our 4-12 mark in the PVAC when we next take the court on Thursday at Edmund Burke.

Cougars lose at Field 61-50

Josh Stern had 21 points and David Levieddin had a solid all around game with 12 points and 6 rebounds, but it wasn't enough. We fell to 4-11 in PVAC play and 4-12 overall.

No rest for the weary, we take the floor again Tuesday night at home against St. Anselm's, hoping to avenge an early season loss.

BHA loses War On The Floor 2 to Rival JDS 63-42

We gave it our all, but after cutting the deficit to 7 with 2:30 to go in the 3rd, we couldn't get any closer.

Josh Stern led us with 15 points, while David Levieddin and Jacob Mellman each put in 12.
